If you are a developer and you think that you have the right skills, the perfect solution, and the creativity to tackle this six hour web app development challenge, then the WebGeek DevCup is the perfect chance for you to show what you’ve got.
Organized by WebGeek Philippines (WebGeekPH), a community for Filipino geeks, developers and designers, the competition will be held on Saturday, 25th August 2012 at the Meralco MultiPurpose Hall, Meralco Compound, Ortigas Center. Participants can register individually, or up to a maximum of three as a team. During this challenge, participants will be given six hours to conceptualize, develop, and create a web application that will be aligned with the given theme.
Subsequently, participants will present their finished web application to the panel of judges, including Bryan Bibat, winner of WebGeek Developers Challenge and Ruby Rumble 2011, and Miguel Paraz, co-founder of IPhil Communications. The web apps will be evaluated according to its technical complexity, user experience, social relevance, and originality. At the end of the day, the winners of this competition will be announced and an attractive set of prizes awaits the most innovative and most creative ones!
